STAFF at a Biggleswade clothes shop have been congratulated for their fundraising work.
Workers at M&Co in the market square have helped the firm to raise more than £850,000 for Cancer Research UK through a variety of charity events and activities.
M&Co, which sells casual and formal clothes for men, women and children has raised £853,000 for the charity through its chain of shops nationwide.
Of the total amount raised £613,000 was brought in through store activity, £119,000 from donated stock and £53,000 from the firm’s payroll lottery.
An additional £34,000 was brought in through the Race for Life and Shine running and night-walk events, while £20,000 was raised through marketing and £14,000 from head office events.
Cancer Research UK is the world’s leading cancer charity dedicated to saving lives through research. The charity’s work is funded entirely by fundraising and donations from the public.
