A KNITTING group donated bunting and toys made by members to a hospice.

Regulars at the Knit and Knatter group, which meets weekly at Sandy Library, made the items for Keech Hospice Care.

Anna Ludwig, a music therapist at Keech – which provides specialist palliative care for adults and children diagnosed with a life-limiting or terminal illnesses – visited the High Street library on Tuesday, May 29.

Rhoda Baker, an assistant at the library who helped to organise the donation, said: “We were put in touch with Keech through Jill Napper at Biggleswade Library.

“The hospice is celebrating its 21st anniversary this year so the bunting should help with the celebrations.

“It was knitted in the traditional Keech colours – turquoise, purple and white.”

The group also made toy ducks and bed socks for patients to wear.

Knit and Knatter meets every Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm. All are welcome.
