PUPILS at a lower school have been learning how to be extra green.

Youngsters at Stondon Lower School planted seeds and learned about gardening and saving energy at home.

The activities took place as part of The Co-operative’s first ever Green Schools Revolution Week.

Paul Cranfield, regional secretary for The Co-operative in the Central and Eastern region, said: “Our Green Schools Revolution programme was launched six months ago and already over 4,000 schools are taking part.

This demonstrates a clear appetite for environmental learning, and it’s great to see so many schools really making the most of all the programme has to offer.”
