Catching tunes at festival

A CLASSICAL music festival starts tonight.

The annual Potton Music Festival consists of a series of concerts performed by Marais Ensemble.

Tonight (Friday) there is a concert at 8pm in St Mary’s Church, Potton. Music includes Beethoven’s Trio Op 11 and Mendelssohn’s Piano Trio Op 49 No 1 in D minor.

Tomorrow (Saturday) there will be a family concert at Burgoyne Middle School, Potton.

Tomorrow evening there will be a concert in St John the Baptist Church in Cockayne Hatley at 7.30pm.

The final concert will be held in All Saints Church, Sutton on Sunday at 4pm. Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks will be one of the pieces.

Tickets are available from Cameron’s Newsagent in Potton or online at www.pottonmusicfestival.org.uk

They cost £13 for adults and £10 for concessions except at the family concert where they are £6 for adults, £4 for concessions and free for under twos.

A tickets for the whole festival costs £30 for adults and £23 for concessions.
