SIX soldiers cycled over three of Britain’s best known mountains to raise money for charity.
The team, who are all based at the Defence Intelligence and Security Centre at Chicksands, hope to raise more than £3000 for the Royal British Legion and UK Cancer Trust.
Andy Hill, Callum Drakeworth, John Connor, Jon Hatch, Paul Carr and Steve Hughes cycled between the peaks and to the top of Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in Cumbria and Ben Nevis in Scotland this week.
Steve said: “The RBL has supported military personnel since 1921 and does some great work. We have a long and close working relationship with the Shefford branch and this is one way of showing our appreciation for the good work they do.”
They also chose UK Cancer at the request of Staff Sergeant Chris Mooney, whose father was diagnosed with terminal cancer.
