A COUNCIL leader has been re-elected to his post.
Councillor Ray Manning was chosen to head up South Cambs District Council again at the council’s annual meeting on Thursday, May 24. He will keep the role for the next four years.
Mr Manning said: “I am honoured to be re-elected as leader of the council by my fellow councillors.
“South Cambs has weathered the storm during recent tough economic times but budgets are still being squeezed more than ever before and my new cabinet will not shy away from the difficult decisions ahead.”
Councillor Tony Orgee will continue as the chairman of the council and Councillor David Bard will still be the vice-chairman.
