UNSIGHTLY rubbish is littering one of our main roads, according to one Chronicle Country woman.
Wendy Kitchener lives in Edworth, which can be entered from the A1 just south of Biggleswade.
She is concerned about the amount of rubbish, which has accumulated by the road. She said: “Between the Biggleswade roundabout by Homebase and Junction 10 the central reservation and both the grass verges are full of litter, litter, litter.”
Central Beds Council said that it clears accessible areas every six weeks and is already in the process of arranging a road closure with the Highways Agency so that the other verges and the central reservation can be tidied.
