Angry Sandy residents attended a council meeting on Monday to make their voices heard on the Tourist Information Centre issue.
Sandy Town Council have recently announced they will be integrating the Centre into it’s Council offices on Cambridge Road.
This has been met with stern opposition from Marie Stainton who has setup a petition to try and put pressure on the council.
Mayor Will Jackson said: “There is a good chance the Town Council reception will move to the Tourist Information Centre.
“Nothing has been decided yet but the council will be discussing it in the near future.”
Councillor Martin Pettit added: “There is a lot of false information going about, particularly on social media.
“To describe it as a closure is wrong, it is part of a wider re-structuring.”
