Free workshops allowing residents to trace their First World War Army ancestors have proved so popular that another one has been organised.

Libraries across Central Bedfordshire have been staging the workshops, allowing family history enthusiasts the chance to use the internet to trace ancestors who served in the Great War.

Due to high demand, Sandy Library will be holding another workshop on Tuesday, December 2. It will take place from 10am to 11.30am and is suitable for anyone who is comfortable using a computer, although library staff will also be on hand to help.

Councillor Ian Dalgarno, Deputy Executive Member for Community Services, said: “I am not surprised that these workshops have proved so popular, especially with this year marking the centenary of the start of the First World War.”

To secure your place, call the library on 03003 008065 or go and speak with staff member.
