Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a canister of Ethonox – or ‘Gas and Air’ as it is commonly known – was stolen from an ambulance.
The ambulance was parked outside a house in Biggleswade on Saturday, November 1.
The incident happened between 3.05pm and 3.30pm as the paramedic was treating a patient at a property in Holme Crescent.
A member of the public knocked on the door to tell the victim that an offender had been looking through the equipment in the back of the ambulance.
The paramedic gave chase but the offender managed to escape.
On returning to the ambulance the victim saw that a canister of Ethonox was missing along with his responder bag and his helmet as well.
The offender was said to be a white man, between 20 and 30 years old, with a scruffy appearance and wearing a full grey tracksuit with a hood attached.
