This year’s Festival for Older People, organised by Healthwatch Central Bedfordshire was a resounding success as over 250 people attended the event designed to celebrate the contribution older people make to our society.
A range of different service providers were present at the event, providing support, information and advice about health, social care and housing services. They also provided health checks and chiropody services.
There was also the opportunity to learn about the many services provided by local voluntary organisations and community groups.
Activities on stage included a community dance machine, belly dancing, and a demonstration of chair based exercises.
