AN inquest has opened into the death of a four-year-old girl who was in collision with a reversing car.
Olivia Rose Hicks, of London Road, Biggleswade died of her injuries on Saturday (February 25) following the collision on Monday last week (February 20) in Coppice Mead, Biggleswade.
She was airlifted to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge after being involved in a collision with a reversing Ford Focus at around 8.30am.
The HM Coroner for Cambridge has given the causes of death as a catastrophic irreversible brain injury and injuries sustained in a road traffic accident.
Police officers from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Collision Investigation Unit launched a full investigation at the time of the collision.
