A redesigned outdoor area will be officially opened on Monday (May 5).
MP Andrew Lansley will cut the ribbon for Millbridge Brook Meadows in Gamlingay. The ribbon will be put on the railway bridge and snipped at 2pm.
A caveman will demonstrate flint knapping throughout the afternoon.
There will also be pond dipping, an archaeological finds table and a test pit.
Creative types can design their own Saxon boat and then race it down the brook.
There will also be the opportunity to do brass rubbings and of course to walk the meadows’ heritage trail.
Another activity is the children’s quiz. And once you have tried out a few activities you will be in need of refreshments and that is where the traditional ice cream cart will fill the breach.
This is also a chance to try out the new brick maze. The bricks were bought by local people and companies.
Villagers are encouraged to walk and there will also be free parking at the Eco Hub.
