Elections in Gamlingay

Three candidates will compete for district council seats.

The nomination period for people seeking election to South Cambs District Council has now closed.

The candidates for the Gamlingay ward will be current councillor, Bridget Smith of the Liberal Democrat party, Adrian Dent for the Conservatives and Robin Stern for Labour.

Residents will head to the polls on Thursday, May 22 to elect councillors for a third of the seats on the district council.

Jean Hunter, South Cambs District Council’s chief executive, said: “With the candidates now announced for elections it is a good time to check you are registered to vote so you can have your say on who will represent your community.

“Registering to vote is quick, straight forward and easy and our elections team is always happy to help.”
