A First World War Memorial Stone has been rededicated.
The rededication of the stone, which was recently identified and restored by Biggleswade History Society, took place during Biggleswade’s civic service last month. The service took the theme of celebrating the community and giving thanks for all the hard work that is done by the town’s many groups.
It was led by Rev Andrew Hollins.
Town mayor Hazel Ramsay was joined by town councillors, a guard of honour for the deputy lieutenant of Bedfordshire, Air Commodore Peter Ayee; chairman of Centrel Beds Council Caroline Maudlin and mayors from around the county.
The Biggleswade Choral Society sung two beautiful pieces by John Rutter ‘This is the day’ and ‘The Lord Bless you and Keep you’.
