A young driver has had his license removed after drink driving.
George John Alexander Sheen of Dothans Close in Great Barford crashed his car after a night out at the pub.
The 21-year-old entered a guilty plea at Bedford Magistrates’ Court to the charge of driving while above the alcohol limit
He had 65 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
The prosecution described how police were called to a traffic collision at 3.30am on Saturday, January 25. Sheen, who was not injured, described it as out of character.
He was disqualified from driving for 20 months and he must pay a £400 fine, £85 costs and a £40 victim surcharge. The disqualification will be reduced if he attends a course.
