Samuel Whitbread Academy in Clifton came out best of the bunch for its GCSE grades.
In the 2013 exams 64 per cent of pupils achieved five or more A* to C GCSEs including English and maths.
The figure was 54 per cent at Sandy Upper School and 52 per cent at Stratton Upper School in Biggleswade.
Throughout Central Beds the average was 57.7 per cent and nationally it was 59.2 per cent.
For A-levels the average point score per A-level entry expressed as a grade was C- at Samuel Whitbread and Stratton and D at Sandy.
Eighty per cent of A-level students at Samuel Whitbread achieved at least three A* to E grade A-levels. The figure was 69 per cent at Stratton and 62 per cent at Sandy Upper.
At the top end, at Samuel Whitbread six per cent of A-level students came away with three A-levels at AAB or higher including at least two facilitating subjects (English, maths, physics, biology, chemistry, geography, history and languages), which some universities prefer.
The figure was eight per cent at Stratton and four per cent at Sandy.
