A town council’s new look website is now live.
Sandy Town Council’s redesigned website has brought it into the modern internet era.
Town mayor, Councillor Susan Sutton, said: “The new website will provide the community with a valuable source of information about the council and our activities as well as allowing us to promote community events and share information about the town more effectively.
“We will continue to provide information in other ways too but the website will be our principal channel for communicating with many people in Sandy. I encourage people to use it to tell us their views and share their ideas for the future of Sandy.”
The new additions on the site include comprehensive what’s on listings and pictures of the councillors.
The website, which was designed and built by Verto UK, caused consternation amongst some Sandy residents when the estimated price of £5,255 was announced in November 2011.
