Music fans can enjoy a battle of the bands event at a pub on Friday (January 11).
The Red Lion in Biggleswade has invited musical acts to compete, with three judges and the audience deciding who goes through to the next round.
Liam Burke, Stephen Hinds and Wasted Angels will be on the bill on Friday, and acts will be assessed on judges’ opinions who receives the loudest and most enthusiastic response to their set.
The other acts taking part are Season’s Calling, Filthy Visuals, Fade Away, The Saw Dust Ceasers, Mud Rat and 3 Days of Freedom.
The competition will continue every Friday until February 8 when the final will take place, with the semi-final planned for the previous Friday.
The music will start at 7.30pm.
There will also be a 1970s and 1980s disco at the pub on Saturday (January 12) while on Thursday (January 10) a karaoke night is planned.
Music lovers can also test their knowledge at one of the pub’s weekly music quiz nights every Tuesday.
Other gigs coming up at The Red Lion include rocker Paul Adams on Thursday, January 17 and rhythm and blues outfit Tie One On, who will perform on Saturday, January 19.
